Chiropractic Care & Chiropractic Adjustments in Fremont

One tool in a bigger plan, used where it helps.

Core Performance Chiropractic & Sport provides chiropractic care in Fremont, CA for people who want to move better, get out of pain, and stay active. Chiropractic adjustments can ease joint restrictions and restore movement, and here they’re combined with rehab exercise, soft tissue treatment, and mobility work when your body needs more than an adjustment.

Dr. Alex Lee starts every plan by understanding what you’re feeling, how you move, and what you want to get back to doing.

The Bigger Picture

What Does a Chiropractor Do?

A chiropractor evaluates and treats problems with the joints, muscles, and movement, most often back pain, neck pain, and joint stiffness. Chiropractic adjustments are the best-known treatment, but most chiropractors also use soft tissue work, exercise, and advice on activity and posture.

At Core Performance, Dr. Lee uses all of these, chosen to fit your assessment.

Who We Help

Who Chiropractic Care Can Help

Chiropractic Care for Back Pain, Neck Pain & Headaches

Back pain and neck pain are the most common reasons people see a chiropractor, but no two cases are the same. Yours might involve joint movement, hip mobility, strength, posture at work, or an old injury. We treat the painful area and the factors feeding it. Read more about our back pain treatment, neck pain treatment, or the full list of conditions we treat.

Chiropractic Care for Athletes & Golfers

Athletes put repeated, high demands on their joints. Chiropractic care can help when restrictions are limiting movement or causing pain, but athletes usually also need rehab, strength work, and a gradual return to their sport. See our sports rehabilitation and golf performance care.

Chiropractic Care for Babies, Kids & Teens

Dr. Lee treats infants, children, and teenagers, from babies to young athletes with sports injuries and kids with back pain from heavy backpacks and long hours at a screen. Care is gentle and adapted to a growing body. Learn more about our pediatric chiropractic care.

Chiropractic Care During Pregnancy

Pregnancy changes your posture, how you carry weight, and how your pelvis and lower back move, so back, hip, and pelvic discomfort are common. Dr. Lee sees pregnant patients and adapts positioning and techniques to each stage of pregnancy. Let your OB or midwife know you're seeing a chiropractor. Extremity Adjustments: Shoulders, Knees, Ankles & More

Many chiropractors focus only on the spine. Dr. Lee is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), with postgraduate training in adjusting and treating the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

Stiff or Restricted Movement

If certain movements feel stiff or your mobility has slowly gotten worse, we find what's restricting you and whether adjustments, soft tissue work, or mobility training will help most.

The Assessment

Every Plan Starts With an Assessment

Before recommending treatment, Dr. Lee needs to understand what's actually going on. Your assessment covers:

Hover any point on the wheel to see what it means for your recovery.

Your Symptoms

Where you feel it, when it started, and what makes it better or worse.

Your Movement & Mobility

Which movements are restricted or painful, and whether you’ve started moving differently to protect an area.

Your Strength & Control

Whether weakness or poor control is part of the problem.

Your Activity & Goals

A golfer, a runner, a desk worker, and a busy parent ask different things of their bodies. What you want to get back to shapes the plan.

How It Fits Together

More Than a Chiropractic Adjustment

An adjustment can improve how a joint moves. It doesn't build strength, retrain movement, or prepare your body for the demands of your sport or job. If weakness, poor movement control, or an old injury is part of the problem, those need attention too. That's why adjustments here are usually combined with other treatment:

Rehabilitation Exercise

Progressive work that rebuilds strength, stability, and control.

Mobility Training

Improving usable range of motion with Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) principles. Learn more about our mobility training.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Quick, controlled movements applied to joints that aren’t moving well, to improve how they move and ease the discomfort that comes with the restriction.

Extremity Adjustments

Postgraduate-trained care for the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet, not just the spine.

Active Release Technique

Hands-on soft tissue treatment for tight or irritated muscles and tendons. Dr. Lee is a full body A.R.T. provider.

Recovery Technologies

Red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, and NeuFit when they support your goals. See our recovery technologies.

Adjustments Explained

What a Chiropractic Adjustment Is (and What It Feels Like)

A chiropractic adjustment is a quick, controlled movement applied to a joint that isn’t moving well. The goal is to improve how the joint moves and reduce the discomfort that comes with the restriction.

You may hear a pop during an adjustment. That’s gas releasing from the fluid inside the joint, the same thing that happens when you crack your knuckles. It doesn’t mean a bone went “back into place,” and an adjustment can work without it. Most people feel relief or looseness afterward. Some feel mild soreness for a day or two, similar to after a workout.

Adjustments Are One Tool, Not the Whole Plan

You get the treatment your assessment calls for, not an adjustment by default.

Spine and Extremity Training

CCEP certification means your shoulders, knees, and ankles get the same expert attention as your back.

Rehab Under the Same Roof

When strength or mobility needs work, it’s built into your plan instead of a referral elsewhere.

Care That Changes as You Improve

As symptoms settle, treatment shifts toward strength, movement, and getting back to your activities.

FAQs

Chiropractic Care FAQs

For most people, yes. It’s generally considered safe when it’s provided by a licensed chiropractor after a proper screening. The most common side effect is mild soreness or stiffness for a day or two. Serious complications are rare, but they have been reported, particularly with neck adjustments, which is why Dr. Lee screens every patient first and uses other techniques when an adjustment isn’t a good fit.

No. Your assessment decides whether adjustments make sense. Some patients benefit from them, and others do better with soft tissue work, rehab exercise, or mobility training.

Usually not. Most people feel pressure during the adjustment and relief or looseness afterward. Mild soreness for a day or two is common, especially after the first visit.

It’s gas releasing from the fluid inside the joint, the same as cracking your knuckles. It isn’t a bone moving back into place, and an adjustment can work without it.

There’s no set number. It depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and how your body responds. Your plan is based on your progress, not a package decided before we understand the problem.

Yes, and here it usually is. Adjustments improve how joints move, while rehab and exercise build the strength and control to keep that movement.

Not usually. Imaging is recommended when your symptoms, history, or exam suggest it’s needed. If it is, Dr. Lee will help you arrange it.
