Meet Dr. Alex Lee, Chiropractor in Fremont
An athlete’s perspective on recovery, movement, and performance.
From College Athlete to Chiropractor
Dr. Lee grew up in Redding, California, where he fell for sports early, especially baseball. Baseball earned him an athletic scholarship to Simpson University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology.
As his playing career went on, injuries came with it. Those injuries brought him to chiropractic care as a patient and introduced him to a different way of thinking about the body, recovery, and performance.
It’s why he chose the profession, and it’s why his approach today centers on getting people back to what they love, not just out of pain.
Dr. Alex Lee, DC, is a chiropractor in Fremont, CA and the founder of Core Performance Chiropractic & Sport. Long before he treated his first patient, he knew injury from the athlete’s side of the table, and that experience still shapes how he works with every patient today.

Why Dr. Lee Built Core Performance
Care often gets split up. One provider handles pain, another handles mobility, someone else handles strength, and the patient is left connecting the pieces.
Dr. Lee built Core Performance to bring more of those pieces under one roof: chiropractic care, sports rehabilitation, Active Release Technique, mobility training, and recovery technology, combined based on what each person needs.
How Dr. Lee Treats Patients
He looks past the symptom. Two people can hurt in the same spot and need completely different care. Dr. Lee asks where it hurts and also what the problem is stopping you from doing.
Movement comes first. Running, golf, lifting, and everyday life ask several parts of the body to work together, so the assessment looks at how you move, not just the sore area.
Chiropractic is one tool. Adjustments help when joints are restricted, but they don’t build strength or retrain movement. When you need more, it’s built into your plan.
Care changes as you improve. Early care settles symptoms. Then it shifts toward mobility, strength, and getting back to your activities. The goal is more capability, not dependence on treatment.
Who Dr. Lee Works With
- Competitive and recreational athletes
- Golfers, runners, and tennis and pickleball players
- Strength and fitness athletes
- Babies, kids, and teens, including youth athletes
- Pregnant patients
- Active adults of every age who want to stay capable
- Anyone dealing with a recurring injury or pain
You don’t need to compete to take how you move seriously.
A Focus on Athletes & Golfers
Dr. Lee’s own years as an athlete taught him something every athlete learns eventually: being out of pain isn’t the same as being ready to perform. His sports rehabilitation and athlete performance care are built around that gap.
Golf gets special attention too. It combines rotation, balance, and repeated demand, and it’s a sport people want to play for decades. See his work with golfers.
What to Expect When You Meet Dr. Lee
Your first visit starts with a conversation about what brought you in: your symptoms, injury history, activity level, what you’ve already tried, and what you want to get back to. Then Dr. Lee assesses your movement, mobility, and strength, explains what he found, and walks you through a plan.
You don’t need to know ahead of time whether you need an adjustment, rehab, or something else. That’s what the assessment is for.
