Tools that support the work, not replace it.

Core Performance Chiropractic & Sport offers sports recovery in Fremont with NeuFit electrical stimulation therapy, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen. Dr. Alex Lee uses these recovery technologies alongside chiropractic care, rehab exercise, and mobility training, chosen for what you’re trying to accomplish.

The question is never “which machine should we use?” It’s “what does your body need right now, and will this tool help?”

The Bigger Picture

Technology Should Support the Plan, Not Replace It

Recovery devices can be useful. They can also be a waste of time if there’s no clear reason to use them.

Every recovery tool here is chosen around a goal: activating muscles that aren’t firing well, supporting rehab after an injury, managing discomfort, or helping you recover from hard training.

What We Offer

Our Recovery Technologies

NeuFit & NEUBIE

NeuFit is a rehab and training approach built around the NEUBIE, an electrical stimulation device often used while you move, so muscle activation and exercise happen together.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy exposes the skin and underlying tissue to specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light. Patients use it as extra support during recovery, training, or rehab. Learn more about red light therapy in Fremont.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy means spending time in a chamber where you breathe oxygen at higher-than-normal pressure. Whether it's right for you depends on your goals and health history, so we review both first. Learn more about hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

NeuFit

NeuFit & NEUBIE Electrical Stimulation Therapy

Unlike a typical e-stim unit you lie still with, the NEUBIE is often used while you move, so muscle activation and exercise happen together. You may have seen this listed as "neurotherapy" on our old website. It's the same NeuFit service. NeuFit is used for:

Hover any point on the wheel to see what it means for your recovery.

Muscle Activation

Activating muscles that have become weak or inhibited after an injury.

Rehab Support

Supporting rehab exercise when pain limits how much you can load an area.

Movement Training

Movement training and building control through new ranges.

Training Recovery

Recovery after hard training.

Inside a Session

How a NeuFit Session Works

Electrodes are placed over the muscles we’re working on. Dr. Lee adjusts the stimulation while you move through exercises or positions. The stimulation helps show which muscles aren’t activating well and gives them a stronger signal while you train them.

What to expect: the sensation ranges from a light tingle to a strong muscle contraction, and the intensity is adjusted to what you can comfortably tolerate. Research on the NEUBIE specifically is still limited, so we use it as one tool within an active plan, not as a standalone treatment.

Active Care First

Recovery Technology Works Best With Active Care

Who It Helps

Sports Recovery for Athletes, Golfers & Active Adults

During Sports Rehabilitation

Recovery tools can support specific stages of rehab, like reactivating muscles early on or managing soreness as training load increases. See our sports rehabilitation.

For Athletes in Heavy Training

Athletes put repeated stress on their bodies through practice, competition, and strength work. Recovery technology can help between sessions, alongside sleep, nutrition, and smart training. Explore athlete performance.

For Golfers

Golfers use recovery tools for stiffness, soreness, or rehab after an injury, while still working on the hip mobility, rotation, and strength their swing needs. See golf performance.

FAQs

Recovery Technologies FAQs

Recovery technologies are tools like electrical stimulation, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen that support rehab, muscle activation, and recovery from training. Here they’re always used as part of a larger plan, not on their own.

NeuFit is a rehab and training method that uses the NEUBIE electrical stimulation device during active movement. It’s used to help activate muscles, support rehab exercise, and train movement.

The NEUBIE is the electrical stimulation device used in NeuFit. It sends a current through electrodes on the skin, and the stimulation is adjusted while you move through exercises.

At Core Performance, yes. Our old website listed “neurotherapy” separately, but it referred to the same NeuFit service. It’s different from neurofeedback, which is a brain-training therapy we don’t offer.

No. They can support rehab, but your body still has to rebuild strength, mobility, and tolerance for your activity. Technology is one tool that helps with that.

It depends on your goals, what you’re dealing with, and your health history. The assessment decides whether any of these tools make sense and which one.

No. Each has its own precautions. Electrical stimulation isn’t used on people with pacemakers or certain implanted devices, and pregnancy, some heart and lung conditions, and some medications can rule out certain treatments. Dr. Lee reviews your health history before using any of them.

No. Some patients use them for recovery during heavy training. Either way, we’ll talk through your goals first so there’s a clear reason to use them.
